12. 4. 2024

The successful workshop "Horizon of Innovation in Industry" became an important meeting for experts from technology, manufacturing companies and academia who focused on key trends and innovations in the field of Industry 4.0. In total, more than 80 people attended the event.

The workshop focused on the broad use of artificial intelligence for digital transformation, with an emphasis on data collection and analysis using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Participants had the opportunity to gain insight into future developments in this area and understand the power of 5G networks in manufacturing. The importance of security and protection of industrial networks in the digital environment was also discussed.

"The "Horizon of Innovation in Industry" was not only a successful meeting, but also a proof of the progressive approach of technology companies and academia to support and develop innovation in the industrial sector in the Czech Republic," says Jan Kočí, Head of Research Direction from CXI TUL.

Topics covered included the broad use of AI for digital transformation not only in industry, data collection and analysis using ML/AI, a demonstration of the power of 5G networks in manufacturing, and detailed information on the safety and security of industrial networks. Renowned experts presented their know-how through inspiring lectures and practical demonstrations, which offered participants not only new insights but also promising opportunities for their businesses.

At the workshop, participants had the opportunity to see a number of practical demonstrations of innovative technologies that showcased the technological future of the industrial sector.

The 3D printing lab at CXI TUL provided an insight into the 3D printing process and an understanding of its potential in an industrial environment. Another interesting demonstration was an autonomous vehicle, also presented by the CXI TUL team, which showed the advances in automation and the future of transportation.

A joint presentation by T-Mobile and CXI introduced the applications of augmented reality and virtual reality using AR/XR glasses. These technologies offer a wide range of applications in industrial environments. A 5G drone demonstration, presented by T-Mobile, provided an understanding of the power of fast connectivity and its potential in industrial applications. Another demonstration was T-Mobile's presentation of a data platform that can efficiently collect and analyze data in an industrial environment. Protecting Industrial Networks demonstrated how to effectively protect industrial networks from cyber threats and attacks.

These hands-on demonstrations provided attendees with concrete examples of innovative solutions and inspired them to further explore the possibilities of using modern technology in their industrial processes.
