The first meeting between the new management of the Technical University of Liberec and journalists took place at the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation, CXI TUL. Miroslav Černík also attended the meeting on behalf of CXI TUL.
The new university management presented the main priorities that will shape the direction of TUL in the coming years. These include closer cooperation between the university and the Liberec Region, support for technical education, digitalisation including the use of artificial intelligence, the development of international cooperation, new study programmes, and strengthening knowledge transfer into practice.
These topics are also closely linked to the mission of CXI TUL. The institute has long been connecting research with the application sphere, cooperating with companies, public institutions and international partners, and helping the university bring new knowledge, technologies and innovative solutions to the region.
The plans presented also place greater emphasis on the university’s role as an active partner in regional development. TUL aims to help retain talented people in the region, support cooperation between research, companies and the public sector, and contribute to the development of fields with higher added value.
One of this year’s major events will be the international ECOpole conference, which will take place at TUL on 9–11 December 2026. It will focus on sustainability, ecology, semiconductor technologies and other modern fields. For CXI TUL, it represents another opportunity to strengthen cooperation between science, industry and the public sector.
