CXI TUL wins German Economy Award

CXI TUL wins German Economy Award

The award is presented by the German-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry to innovative companies and institutions whose activities promote a sustainable, technologically advanced economy and strengthen competitiveness.

The AI4multidirectAM project brings together top experts from both academia and industry. On the Czech side, Entry Engineering and CXI TUL are involved, while on the German side, the participants include Fraunhofer IWU Institute, Lakowa, and RTT System.

“The goal of the project is to solve several key challenges in large-format robotic 3D printing. Our team focuses primarily on data collection and evaluation, where modern sensors and artificial intelligence enable continuous quality control — even for prints that take several days. With timely problem detection and adjustment of printing parameters, we expect to reduce scrap rates and maintain stable production quality without the need for constant operator supervision. A major advantage is also the opportunity to test the system on real-world orders thanks to data provided by our partners,”
explains Tomáš Martinec, project lead.

“We deeply appreciate this award. It confirms that connecting Czech and German innovation cultures leads to truly breakthrough results. Together with our partners, we are pushing the boundaries of what additive manufacturing can achieve today,”
says Jan Kočí, project co-investigator at CXI TUL.

The German Economic Award is a prestigious award for small and medium-sized companies and research institutions with up to 500 employees that increase the innovative potential and competitiveness of the Czech economy. This year was only the second year of the award, which makes the success of the Czech-German team led by CXI TUL even more exceptional.
