Tuesday, December 2, marks the culmination of Giving Tuesday—a day that turns intentions into real acts of generosity. At the Center for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies, and Innovation (CXI TUL), we are also using this day to take stock and make a final push.
CXI TUL: Finalist for prestigious awards alongside major companies
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Giving Tuesday movement, the Association for Social Responsibility presented the first ever Giving Tuesday Awards. We are proud that CXI TUL employees, thanks to their willingness to help, were among the finalists in the Corporate Charity category!
The expert jury recognized our initiatives and ranked us among the six most successful entities, which is a significant achievement. The competition was fierce, with CXI finding itself alongside companies and institutions such as Škoda Auto, T-Mobile, the City of Prague, Eurowag (category winner), and Zátiší Group.
This nomination confirms that the CXI TUL community demonstrates a high degree of social responsibility.
Deadline for the Furniture Bank Collection: December 2 is the last day!
Giving Tuesday is also a critical day for our current charity event. Today is the deadline for the Liberec Region Furniture Bank Collection.
This activity is registered under the nationwide auspices of Giving Tuesday, and its goal is to provide basic home furnishings for people in need. Your donations help furnish apartments for those who cannot afford to do so themselves.
We are urgently collecting:
Home textiles: Bedding, curtains, towels, dishcloths, and more.
Kitchen utensils: Pots, pans, kettles, and small dishes.
Join the final push—every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference.
Humanitarian aid: Support for a TUL student
We haven’t forgotten about the student community either. As part of our Advent activities this year, we are supporting a fundraiser for Tajudeen, an African student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TUL.
