The Center for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies, and Innovation at CXI TUL has published its Sustainability/CSR report for 2025. It provides an overview of specific data and activities that reflect our approach to responsible operations in the areas of people, the environment, research, and social responsibility.
People and culture
In 2025, CXI TUL had 194 employees. We have long strived for a balanced working environment – the representation of women and men is equal, with women making up 30% of management.
Environmental impact
We have seen concrete progress in the area of environmental responsibility:
- water consumption decreased by 145 m³ year-on-year (from 1,639 m³ to 1,494 m³),
- in 2025, we collected approximately 70 kg of batteries.
Charity and community support
We have been involved in a number of charitable and community activities – from gifts for children in children’s homes to the GivingTuesday collection for the Liberec Furniture Bank and support for the collection for student Tajudeen.
We greatly appreciate that, thanks to these activities, we were among the finalists for the Giving Tuesday Awards in the Corporate Charity category (top 6).
Research and economic stability
In 2025, we worked on 94 projects with a total volume of CZK 195.1 million.
In many projects, we seek practical solutions to sustainability challenges and their specific impacts in practice.
Awards and external recognition
A significant achievement in 2025 was the LIFE Awards 2025, which our LIFEPOPWAT project won. This is the first Czech project to be awarded in this category. For us, this is a strong signal that the solutions developed at CXI TUL can compete at the European level and are useful in practice.
In the Industry 4.0 Awards, we were among the top three award-winning implementations focused on digitization—specifically in the areas of production transformation and AI chatbots as practical tools. In other words, we not only develop technologies, but we also know how to translate them into deployments that simplify processes and increase efficiency.
