The department provides support in the area of commercialization of CXI’s research results. It assists CXI research departments in acquiring contract research projects. For this purpose, it organizes individual meetings and seminars with manufacturing companies to present the professional profile of CXI and its achievements in the field of contract research.

Furthermore, it provides administrative support to research departments in preparing contracts and conducting business negotiations. The office also builds an interactive network of potential industrial partners with the aim of identifying new forms of funding for CXI’s research activities and creating an environment with a greater capacity to absorb R&D results from TUL and CXI.

In the area of contract research:

  • Provides legal support for the creation of contracts with clients – including contracts for work, cooperation agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and license agreements. It maintains up-to-date contract templates and, when necessary, coordinates cooperation with the TUL legal department.
  • In cooperation with project leaders, prepares price quotations and communicates with customers regarding formal requirements of orders.
  • Monitors the situation within the institute, identifies research results with commercial potential, guides the initial steps of technology transfer, and ensures professional oversight of the entire process.

In the area of business:

  • Identifies and contacts companies; during initial meetings, presents the activities of individual CXI departments and seeks out and negotiates offers of CXI’s research capacities for future contracts and joint projects.
  • Facilitates meetings between specific CXI workplaces and potential clients, and cooperates in defining the framework of future contractual relationships.
  • Promotes the institute’s activities at exhibitions, trade fairs, and other events that have the potential to create new opportunities for commercialization of CXI’s results and to establish new partnerships for collaboration.
  • Co-organizes visits and tours of CXI for commercial entities.
  • Provides marketing and sales support for specific activities within commercialization-oriented projects.
  • Cooperates with other TUL departments and offices to ensure the successful implementation of the above-mentioned activities.
