The CXI TUL analytical laboratory operates in accordance with the requirements of the ČSN EN ISO 17025 (2018) standard and is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute under number L 1611. The entire portfolio of services offered can be found in the current Certificate of Accreditation (www.cai.cz/?subjekt=1611-technicka-univerzita-v-liberci).

The laboratory performs accredited sampling and analysis of drinking water, hot water, and bathing water, as well as inspections of sterilizers and autoclaves for external customers. As part of its services, the laboratory also ensures the transfer of results to the nationwide IS PiVo register.

The advantage of our laboratory is the state-of-the-art CXI equipment and personnel and short turnaround times for sample processing. Experienced laboratory staff also provide consultations in this area.

Our accredited laboratory offers comprehensive drinking water analyses based on current legislation. The analyses comply with the requirements of Decree No. 252/2004 Coll., as amended. This decree sets out the hygiene requirements for drinking and hot water and the frequency and scope of drinking water inspections. We offer both the standard ranges specified by the decree and the option of individual selection of specific indicatorsaccording to customer requirements. The laboratory provides accredited drinking water sampling. Upon agreement and collection of special sampling containers, the customer can also perform the sampling themselves.

Reduced analysis is used to verify the quality of drinking water sources, approve private buildings, and monitor water in commercial buildings. It provides information on key microbiological, physicochemical, and organoleptic indicators specified in Decree 252/2004 Coll., Annex 5.1.

The purpose of a complete analysis is to comprehensively analyze all indicators specified in Decree No. 252/2004 Coll., Annex 5.2. It is required by the relevant authorities, especially for commercial entities with an individual source of drinking water.

Individually selected indicators based on customer requirements and needs.  TUL package (determination of Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria, Clostridium perfringens, colony counts at 36°C and 22°C, nitrates, nitrites, ammonium ions, chlorides, TOC, Fe, hardness (Ca + Mg content), pH, conductivity) provides basic information about microbial contamination and the chemical composition of water.

We offer wastewater analysis to individuals who own, for example, domestic wastewater treatment plants, based on a decision issued by the relevant water authority. The scope of parameters determined for domestic wastewater treatment plants for the discharge of wastewater into groundwater according to Act No. 254/2001 Coll. on Water („Water Act“) §8(1)(c) is most often: BOD5, CODCr, undissolved substances, total phosphorus, ammoniacal nitrogen. Wastewater samples from domestic wastewater treatment plants are taken by the customer themselves according to the instructions specified in the Decision.

He left the wood to the woodcarvers. The biathlete opted for 3D printing and his own design

When your sports equipment fits you like a glove, you know it right away. This is undoubtedly true in biathlon. A rifle is not just a piece of equipment, but an extension of the body. And it was precisely this requirement that junior biathlete František Jelínek came to CXI TUL with: he wanted a custom-made…

We can detect pathogens in water within a few hours

Until now, water analysis results took several days, but with the new method based on qPCR analysis, we have results within five hours. Speed can be absolutely crucial in taking effective measures to protect health. The new method detects and identifies the DNA of pathogenic microorganisms, so there is no need to cultivate bacteria in…

Perfect glide, long tracks in nature. PFAS and the search for solutions

Groomed trails, the silence of the Jizera Mountains, cross-country skis gliding almost by themselves. But this perfect glide has a downside. The substances that have helped cross-country skiers achieve better riding characteristics for decades remain in nature practically forever. Per- and polyfluorinated substances, known by the abbreviation PFAS, have long been used in cross-country ski…
