SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The research direction of System Integration connects the worlds of technology. We develop smart software solution for data processing and integration between systems and for securing communication interfaces. We also work with robotics.
deparment of Software Architecture and Development
Our activities are focused on the development and integration of software and hardware components into research and industry. We can design the architecture of software and hardware solutions, which we implement into target processes using IoT devices, cloud services, and augmented reality. We were the first to receive the Microsoft Awards 2017 for a project using HoloLens.

AI Monitors 3D Printing During the Production of Molds for Cars and Airplanes
Instead of time-consuming machining, large-format 3D printing is taking over, a process that monitors and continuously adjusts itself during production. This is the foundation of the Czech-German AI4MultiDirectAM project, whose ambition is to transform the production of molds for composite parts into a faster, more precise, and more cost-effective process. Molds for composite parts, such…

Smarter Site Remediation? AI Can Help
Cleaning up a contaminated site isn’t just about taking action; it’s mainly about correctly interpreting what’s happening beneath the surface. That’s where the decision is made as to whether the intervention will be fast, effective, and cost-efficient. A new project is therefore relying on artificial intelligence to uncover hidden connections from available information and help…

From wastewater back to production. Technology that is transforming industrial water recycling
Membrane modules that return valuable substances from wastewater back to production while protecting the environment. A team from CXI TUL is working on their development in collaboration with MEGA Group and MemBrain. When designing new industrial equipment, they use computer modeling and 3D printing, which speeds up, refines, and reduces the cost of the entire…

SmartMold: Faster Production? With a Smart Mold
The SmartMold project demonstrates that a mold doesn’t have to be just a rigid tool that holds the product’s shape. It’s much better if it’s an active part of the entire process. It can heat itself and help control production so that it’s faster, more precise, and more cost-effective. 3D printing, molds, simulation, recycling In…

A Toxic Past as an Opportunity? SURRI Shows a New Way
There are places that seem like reminders of mistakes that can never be undone. Old uranium mines, contaminated water, and landscapes scarred by industry. But this is precisely where a turning point is emerging. After three intensive years, the SURRI project demonstrates that old mining sites need not be merely symbols of an ecological debt,…
