How are our colleagues at CXI?
The Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation (CXI)
The Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation (CXI) is a research centre combining expertise in Nanomaterials in Natural Sciences, Competitive Engineering and System Integration. One of the priorities is the application of research, development and innovation results and their utilization in practice.
CXI has approximately 170 staff, 60% of whom are researchers, 21% are laboratory technicians and 19% are administrative support staff. The core activity is mainly dealing with R&D&I projects, both national and international, as well as basic research projects and cooperation with industrial partners in the field of contract research.
Liberec is situated in the north of the Czech Republic an hour’s drive from the capital city of Prague. It is a mountainous area suitable for hiking, skiing, and many other activities. There are many historical monuments in Liberec, and the dominant feature is the Ještěd hotel and television transmitter.
You can reach us by public transport on tram lines 2 and 3, where you get off at the Muzeum – Galerie Lázně tram stop, then continue on foot along Vítězná and Ondříčkova streets to the TUL campus or get off at the Botanická zahrada tram stop and then walk along Fibichova street and at the Liberec tennis club take the forest trail to building “L”, where the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation is located. Another possibility is to use bus line 15, where you get off directly at the Technická univerzita bus stop. The nearest airport is in Prague. You can reach Liberec easily from the capital city of Prague by public bus transport.
